Shockingly lifelike dinosaur fossil
It was 18 feet long and built like a tank. Now its mummified remains have emerged from an oil sands mine in Canada. No, it’s not the plotline of a summer blockbuster. It’s science: breathtaking, take-you-back-in-time science. Borealopelta (meaning “Northern shield”) is a genus of nodosaurid ankylosaur from the Lower Cretaceous of Alberta, Canada. Meet nodosaur, the crown jewel of a newly opened dinosaur exhibit at the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology in Alberta, Canada. What makes the nodosaur staggeringly unique isn’t its size (we get it; dinosaurs were big), but its almost unprecedented state of preservation. Considering the nodosaur is roughly 110 million years old, the sleeping giant you see when you look at it is astounding. For one thing, you don’t see bones; most of the skeleton is undetectable because it’s covered in fossilized skin and, as the museum describes it, “encased in intact body armour.” Nodosaurs were herbivores…
The country with the most bioluminescent bays in the world
During the nights, three bays of Puerto Rico shine with their own light under a tropical sky full of stars. These incredible places, located in La Parguera, Lajas; Laguna Grande in Las Croabas, Fajardo and Mosquito Bay, Vieques, are three of the extremely rare places in the world where the perfect conditions are found for the spectacle of bioluminescence to repeat itself without interruption throughout all the seasons of the year. In fact, only 5 places in the world meet the conditions to be recognized as bioluminescent bays or bio-bays. Until the mid-20th century, the bioluminescent bays of Puerto Rico were a secret known only to locals since their location in rural areas of southern and eastern Puerto Rico was not known by many. Today, thanks to the conservation efforts of residents and organizations of the Island, visitors from all over the world can enjoy the natural wonder that these…

So, the wold saw about 36.57 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide emitted in 2018. Also this was confirmed by the International Energy Acency (IEA). Petteri Taalas WMO Secretary-General warned that “the future welfare of mankind” was at stake. In an appela to Goverments to do more to reverse countries’ reliance on producing energy from fossil fuels, in line with the 2015 Paris Agreement on Climate Change. We have again broken records in carbon dioxide concentrations and we have already exceeded 400ppm level which was regarded as a critical level,” he said, in reference to the 407.8 parts per million reading for 2018. “That happened already two years ago and this carbon dioxide concentration continues and…

Everesting Record
Seven-time Grand Tour winner, Alberto Contador (Spain), has set a new Everesting record in a time of 7 hours, 27 minutes and 20 seconds. The record, set on Tuesday, July 7,(2020)on a steep, gently arcing segment of the climb of Silla del Rey in Castile and León, Spain, beats the mark recently set by Lachlan Morton (EF Pro Racing) by some two and a half minutes. The 37-year-old Contador, who retired at the end of the 2017 season as one of the most successful Grand Tour riders of all-time, has clearly stayed in shape in his retirement. The ‘Parte final – Silla del Rey’ segment on which he set the new record, averaging 13% over 0.96 km, required Contador to ride 78 laps to reach the altitude of Mount Everest. To be safe, Contador took it up to 8,928m – a vertical gain achieved in a staggeringly succinct 139.35km. Contador averaged…
The most powerful wind generator (offshore)
The Haliade-x wind turbine manufactured by the company GE Renewable Energy is considered today as the wind-driven machine that generates the most power. The Haliade-x is capable of generating 12MW of power, which said so, for People who are not very familiar with these terms, can tell you little, but if we say that it is the energy necessary to supply 16,000 homes, we can get used to the idea of the generation capacity of this titan from the wind. machine as one of the most complex on the planet and is the result of research and exhaustive testing of predecessor turbines. Some amazing technical data of this machine are for example the length of each of its blades is 107 meters, the total diameter of rotation is 220 m and its height is 260 meters, which would allow it to compete with some of the best known skyscrapers. from…

The most powerful computer
The most powerful computer so far created is the result of a Google scientific team that has developed a computer system based on quantum physics. The Bristlecome project, led by John Martinis and by the Spanish Sergio Boixo, who has been the designer of the computational algorithm, has been the first to make the quantum computing paradigm possible. The system developed by Google has completed a task in just over 3 minutes that the most powerful computer so far (the Summit computer, installed at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee, USA) would have taken 10,000 years. This milestone has been compared to the flight of the first Wright brother’s plane in the first decade of the 20th century. This technology is based on the storage by the neutral atoms that store quantum information, the so-called cubits, by analogy to bits. This amazing computer is based on 53 cubits and…
